First-Time, Elder Bride Is Showered by Her Co-Workers and Surprised by Corporate Gifts – RedState

Happy Friday! And welcome to another Friday celebration story. As you learned last week, August is my birthday and the birthday of my wedding. Last weekend, I celebrated myself, so this weekend is to celebrate and our 18 years. My husband, Lynn, and I were in his forties when we got married, and it was the first time for the two of us. Personally, I think that finding true love for the first time in the second half of your life is so much richer and gives you a different perspective, not only on marriage, but which is really important in life. So, this story about a 62 -year -old woman who embarks on her first marriage, and the gifts of her colleagues and others to celebrate her capital opportunity, deserves the treatment of Friday.

Sheila Williams worked as a cleaning lady in Advenhealth in Winter Park, Florida for more than seven years. As she said to Tiffany Cahill for the publication of the company, “Advent News and Stories”, Williams loves her work. “I am sparing, but I am a good cleaning woman. It’s not just about doing my job – it’s about interacting with our patients.”
She is a woman who not only carefully and gratitude, but she also cares about those around her. Williams had moved to the work and delivery unit less than a month ago, but she made an immediate impression on her colleagues. Her work ethics, as well as her beautiful spirit and his disposition, aroused everyone around her. The nurses of the Hannah Heisdorf unit and Cayla Lightbody said: “We love Mrs. Sheila. She is such a joy for us in our unity. She comes every day with a smiling face. We are very blessed to have it.”
So when they discovered that Williams were getting married, they wanted to give him something to celebrate this “monumental moment of his life”. In two days, these ladies gathered a surprise nuptial shower for Williams. Even the nurses who should not come to work that day were ventured in order to be part of the cheerfulness.
The members of the team of the Labor and Delivery Unit to Advenhealth Winter Park gathered to create a moment of pure joy for one of their own. When Sheila Williams, a beloved housekeeper from the unit, shared that she was getting married, a group of nurses quickly took action, surprising it with a sincere bridal shower in one of the patients of patients that she helps take care every day.
Nurse Hannah Heisdorf captured the moment on video and published it on her Tiktok account.

Our sweet cleaning lady, Sheila, married on Friday. She was never married before and found the love of her life at 62 years old. We threw her a surprise nuptial shower and she instantly entered the room in tears. She told us that “no one has ever organized me a party before” and she was so excited to tell her friends “. We are trying to collect funds to send him to a honeymoon! Let’s do this the best surprise in her life !! She is the most deserving person of all time.
It’s quite incredible. Not only did the nurses made a concerted effort to honor Williams with a good shipment, but they also wanted it to pass a beautiful honeymoon. So, in his video, Heisdorf asked for donations on this subject! As Tiktok videos are used to doing so, it has become viral, collecting six million views and more than a million likes. But here is the kicker: companies like Hilton Hotels, Delta Airlines and Tarte Cosmetics saw the video and offered gifts and donations to help Sheila and her husband who will soon be famous.
Sheila married her husband, Terry, at the end of July in Orlando and spent her wedding weekend on a boat in Tampa. But thanks to the donations of Hilton and Delta Airlines, Williams and his Terry also received a big honeymoon in New York.
“I am so excited. I never thought it would happen,” said Williams. “I am 62 years old and I have never been nowhere. I am in Florida all my life. Hilton gave me a trip, and Terry and I go to New York! I always wanted to go to Manhattan.”
What a dream dream for Williams at so many levels and what well -deserved gifts all around. The writer Tiffany Cahill asked Heisdorf and Lightbody why they thought that this beautiful story had struck such an agreement with so many people. They said: “A large part of the comments we get is that people find hope in humanity. Just to see people worry and give others.”
Prioritize the things that matter. It was not gifts or a huge event; It was a question of paying tribute to love, compassion and targeted care that Sheila Williams embodies and emits everyone around her. Williams’ work ethics and words show that she loves and takes care of AdvSealth patients and her colleagues. So, this is a beautiful thing that it can be given to him so significant.
As it should be.
