Democratic senator Chris Coons du Delaware appeared on Fox News Thursday, when the host Martha MacCallum attempted both sides of the GOP inflammatory and racist lies On democratic efforts to end the closure of the government of President Donald Trump.
“There are people who have illegally came to the country who have been completed under temporary protection status, who receive these advantages,” said MacCallum, before Coons quickly interrupted with a business, “no”.
MacCallum then undermined its initial affirmation, admitting that people with temporary protection status legally receive health care.
“I understand that there are two sides in this argument, but it is the people who are discussed at the moment.”
“There are not two sides for this argument,” replied Coons. “The president said that the Democrats wanted to give a gold-plated Medicare program for illegal foreigners. This is not true. You can only benefit from the affordable care law, Medicare and Medicaid if you have legal status in this country. We are not fighting for health care for people who are illegally,” he continued. “This is not true. We are fighting for health care for Americans.”
“Very good,” said MacCallum. “I understand and appreciate your point of view on this subject.”
