ABC Reporter’s Stunning Comment on Kirk Killing Gets Huge Backlash, Has Him Desperately Trying to Explain – RedState

We have seen a lot of hot and liberal media sockets on the assassination of the co-founder of Turning Point USA Charlie Kirk.
But Jon Karl of ABC dropped a bad one when he described the murder as “not a political act”.

How can someone who claims to be a journalist made such a declaration, taking into account the facts?
Not only do you have the texts of the alleged killer and his words on the ball sockets, as well as the declarations of the authorities, but the authorities also alleged that Kirk was killed for his political expression as an aggravating factor in crime.

This obviously obtained a huge reaction, with Karl trying desperately to justify himself, as explained by our Sister Townhall site.
Here is what I really said:

Later in the day, the family, friends and supporters of Charlie Kirk will meet in Phoenix for his commemorative service. The murder of the 31 -year -old activist shocked the nation and was condemned by sent and compassionate Americans in and out of politics and through the political spectrum. He was also insane by some, a small minority, who did not like what Kirk defended.
Celebrating or excusing violence is odious. The murder of Charlie Kirk was not a political act. It was a horrible crime. His alleged killer now faces the death penalty.
Our thoughts this morning are with the Kirk family, especially their two young children who will now grow without their father.
Whatever you think of his political opinions – and there are many people deeply offended by the things he said – Charlie Kirk was an unwavering defender of freedom of expression. On a personal note – he was always ready to dialogue with me and answer my questions. He praised the debate with those with whom he disagreed. He did not try to silence his criticism. He listened to them and tried to change his mind.
It did not help because he repeated it was not a political act. Translation: You said. It was a failed effort to explain it, especially for an alleged journalist. It was both a political act and a horrible crime. He also added this: “There are a lot of people deeply offended by the things he said.” It is more correct to say that they are “deeply offended” by the things they think he said, as Roxanne Hoge notes, because a large part of what the left or liberal media think of him is false or twisted.
Correction, Mr. Karl.

Karl tried again.
My comment was addressed to people who celebrate or excuse the murder of Charlie Kirk because they did not like his political opinions. It is twisted and odious. When you commit violence, you commit a crime, not politics.
I’m not saying …

He said that he did not say that there was no political motivation, he said that he was trying to say that people celebrate or excuse because they don’t like his political opinions to be false, because it was a crime.
The problem? He says that, as many on the left tried to deny the alleged left orientation behind the act. And when you claim that it is not a political act, you help this refusal of the facts.
If you accept polls, there are also an appreciable number of people on the left who justify political violence against their political opponents, as noted.

We have seen this in the past with people thinking that violence against President Donald Trump or Elon Musk was somehow justified.
This is a huge problem, and it must be clearly called.
Publisher’s note: The consumer media continue to deviate, from Gaslight, to turn and lie about President Trump, his administration and the Conservatives.
