The former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann apologized to CNN’s principal political commentator, Scott Jennings, after publishing apparent threats against Jennings on Monday.

Although Olbermann quickly deleted the messages, one of which said: “You are the next, fucked”, Jennings republished a screenshot of the messages, while also seeming to label the official story of the director of the FBI Kash Patel. Olbermann addressed his messages and his silence about them, on X Tuesday. (Related: Scott Jennings responds to Jasmine Crockett’s anti-load diatribe)

“I apologize without reservation to @Scottjenningsky,” published Olbermann. “Yesterday, I wrote and immediately deleted 2 responses to him [late-night host Jimmy] Kimmel because they could be misinterpreted as a threat to something other than his career. I immediately replaced them by those specifying what I meant. »»

“I oppose and condemn political violence, and the threat of it,” added Olbermann in a second post. “All time are not the wrong time to leave an impression inadvertently – but this time is particularly wrong, I should have recognized the deletion and apologize yesterday. I am sorry to have delayed.”

On his X account, Olbermann replaced the initial articles with an implying the career of Jennings on CNN would not last much longer.

“Now we are removing the fascists of real television. It means that your career is the next one, Jennings. Send a cassette to the voice of real America,” said Olbermann. “But continue to attack the camera, amateur.”

Before the apology, Olbermann carried out several unleashed positions targeting members of the Trump administration, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio and the border TSAR Tom Homan.

Olbermann’s apparent threats were published the day after a huge commemorative service for the founder of Turning Point USA, Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated on September 10 while he was committed to a “proving the bad” at the University of Utah Valley.

Jennings did not immediately respond to a request for comments from the Daily Call News Foundation.
