Alaska Man Monday – a Baby Moose, a Dumb Crook, and a Great Name – RedState

It’s interesting. We were in fact in Homer when it happened, even if we did not hear about it; Nevertheless, a happy ending for a moose of Moose and his mother.
It was an apparently normal day for the maintenance coordinator of the Homer Chad Felice parks until he was reported by a regular in the park on June 19.
“I was just doing my morning tours, I’m going to check all the parks,” said Felice. “He pointed out to me and said that a mother of mother with another calf billed her.”
He explained to Felice that he thought there was another calf nearby because of the way in which the moose acted.
“Mama Moose and the other baby were going a little in the forest so that we can see that the other baby was stuck under the walk,” said Felice.
The stuck baby was soon rescued:
The person with the combination “in fact crawled under the walk,” said Felice. “Another fauna worker came and removed the gates, and there was a fauna worker on the watch for mom,” said Felice.
After a few additional accusations of the defensive Mama Moose, the team was able to remove the calf and return it safely to Maman.
“Once we went up under the promenade and overcome it with the other little gap, it was obviously noise, but once it saw mom, it trotted mom a bit, and mom gave her a lick and a little growl,” said Felice.
With mom and baby safely gathered, the family of three worked more deeply in the woods. Felice said he expected to see them again in the region.
There was a lot of luck involved here, the least of which is not that Mama Moose has not become more aggressive. They are known to do it when something spoils with their babies. But, this time, it was a case of “All is good that ends well”.

It would not be a summer weekend without a stupid crook-and what does it work in the middle of the road?
On 06/28/2025 at 0705 hours, the soldiers responded to the 18 -thousand Steese highway with a man walking in the middle of the road. It was the second call to service that evening when the soldiers answered this man walking in the traffic lane on a roadway. The male was not cooperative, refused to identify and finally fought with soldiers. Jarrod Charge was arrested for disorderly driving and resistant to arrest.
This stupid crook, like all those who seem to find walking in the middle of the road, seems to have a great dose of arrogance to accompany his stupidity.
Alaska man score: 0.5 original nuggets. He obtains half a point to serve as a lesson “what not to do”.
And, finally, a big rescue, happy to see that everyone is fine – but I must say that I like the name of the ship involved:
On June 28, 2025, at 2:54 p.m., the Alaska fauna troopers received the report from a overturned or overwhelmed fishing ship “Happy Hooker” in the shallows off the beach in the Ugashik fishing district, outside the King salmon, near the pilot point, with three commercial fishermen in survival combinations, stuck on the inscribed boat.
