Aldrich Potgieter made PGA Tour history for South Africa

It took a little overtime, but Aldrich Potgieter did it in Detroit.
The South African won the first HSI PGA Tour title in his 20th departure and before the age of 21. He was a monumentous to Potgieter when he survived Max Greserman and Chris Kirk in the playoffs.
It was Greserman who pushed the most Potgieter because they both have peer on their first three holes and joined each other in the fourth. Aldrich sorted in the fifth and that was everything.
In particular, Aldrich Potgieter is the biggest winner of the PGA Tour since 1983. Last season presented two cases of a player of less than 21 victories and they both belonged to Nick Dunlap.
Although Aldrich is young for PGA Tour standards overall, he is particularly young compared to South African standards. By winning his victory at his current age, Aldrich became the youngest winner on tour in South Africa. Previously, Garrick Higgo held this brand with a victory at the age of 22 during the 2021 season.
It was a big victory for someone so green in terms of career experience. It goes without saying that it will be the first of at least a few too.
