Garmin has just announced an absolutely massive functionality update via the public beta for Fenix 8, Enduro 3 and Fenix E. Watches. This adds all the newly announced Forerunner 970 execution features, the new X1 Venu features, as well as some entirely new features on Garmin. This beta version (version 17.11) brings together features that were previously exclusive to specific devices and makes them available in their flagship exterior watch series. Perhaps the most surprising, the Fenix E – which had trouble finding its position on the market – receives the same treatment as the Fenix 8 and Enduro 3 more expensive. Let’s take a look at the new features that you can start using, depending on your device Garmin of choice.

What it means for Garmin users
In particular, the only missing functionality of recent versions of Garmin is “Automatic turn “ For races with synchronization doors (where the watch will adjust your mileage when you pass the door), which has come to Forersner 570/970 as well as Venu X1. For current owners of Fenix 8, Enduro 3 and Fenix E, this update is quite major. Whether you are a triathlete, Elite Runner or you just wanted a fucking calculator, this update has something for you. The beta version is now available for users registered in the Garmin’s public beta program, with a stable version planned in the coming weeks. While Garmin continues to refine and widen these capacities, we can expect that additional features and improvements take place throughout the rest of 2025.
