Amazon adds dynamic food delivery ordering to Alexa+

Amazon has announced that it is adding new features for ordering food delivery with its artificial intelligence assistant Alexa+. Users will be able to place natural language orders on Alexa+ via the GrubHub or Uber Eats platforms, provided they have an Amazon device with a large screen. First, you will need to connect an account for these delivery services in order to use this feature. You can ask to see restaurants offering a specific cuisine or ask the assistant to go directly to your favorite place. Once you start an order, Alexa+ will also support natural language requests, and if you ask for something generic, the assistant will match it to the most similar item on the menu. It should also support more detailed queries like “what are the kid-friendly options?” » and be able to submit special requests such as “no onions”.
To start, this command feature will be available to Alexa+ customers using Echo Show 8 devices or higher. The screen should reflect your order, with all changes displayed in real time. Amazon made the Alexa+ subscription available to all US customers earlier this year.
