Anderson Cooper Literally Calls Bulls*** on Surrogate’s Trump Defense

The anchor of CNN, Anderson Cooper, was amazed Wednesday by the defense of a substitution by Donald Trump, calling for his explanation for the explosive declarations of the former president “Bulls —“.

On AC360Former California Lieutenant, Governor Abel Maldonado, a Republican, said the recent comments from Trump calling soldiers to “manage” Democrats were simply his way of expressing his inner New Yorker. “He’s a fighter,” added Maldonado.

The conversation began when Cooper spoke of the former president of Trump’s chiefs of staff, Mark Milley, who, alongside other military leaders, began to warn the dangers of re-elevating the former president. Many called Trump as “fascist to his heart”.

Maldonado, for his part, insisted that Many and the others denigrating Trump only did it after falling from his good graces.

“Many of these people, Anderson, when they work for him, he’s a good guy. President Trump is good when they work for him,” he said.

After a good amount of diaphony, Maldonado continued: “They went to work for him for a reason, obviously, to the pleasure of the president. They went to work to help America, to help President Trump, and all of a sudden they have a disagreement. They advance. And then he is a “fascist”.

Cooper replied: “Well, I don’t think we can know why they work for them because I think many armaments would say that they went to work for an administration because they felt that they might temper the policies of this administration.”

Journalist Carl Bernstein, who was also on the panel, directly asked Maldonado if Trump was a “fascist”.

Maldonado gave a categorical “no”. But when he was asked if Trump said “fascist things”, Maldonado’s response was not as clear.

“I mean, look. He is a New Yorker. He is a fighter. He is a leader,” he said, Bernstein saying that “New Yorkers who are fighting generally do not invoke fascism.”

On this point, Cooper jumped. “By the way, you are from California,” he said. “The children of the Central Park Five-they were in fact New Yorkers. So the idea that Donald Trump is a New Yorker and that’s what New Yorkers say, these are the bulls —.”

“I come from California and we watch New York as you know, they are fighters. They are strong. They say it like that. They will say it aloud,” he said with a smile.

“But it’s a comic strip,” replied Cooper. “Once again, there are 8 million people in the city.”

Later, Cooper asked Trump’s substitute if there was something he had done that “preoccupies”.

Maldonado did not respond directly, which led Cooper to ask again: “Is there something that Trump that you think that Trump should not do or hurt?”

“Well, Anderson, I mean, with regard to inflation, he lowered inflation. As far as the border is concerned, he sealed the border. Regarding the crime, he lowered the crime,” he replied, making his answer to his answer.

“On the main problems, no,” said Maldonado for a good measure.
