You may notice that none of the things we have discussed in Android 16 is exactly Rivet – the safety features and the cleaner notifications are pleasant to have, but it is not a revolutionary update. It could have been more exciting without the reworked exit calendar, however. This Android 16 version is not even THE Android 16. There will be a second Android 16 update 16 later in the year, and some of the most interesting features do not arrive in one or the other.
Traditionally, Google has published new versions of Android in the fall, when new pixel phones arrive. Android 15, for example, began its deployment in October 2024. Barely eight months later, we are on Android 16. This is the first cycle in which Google will divide its new version into two updates. In the future, the largest update will arrive in the second quarter, and the smallest, which includes the API and the functional adjustments, will arrive at the end of the year.
Google said that the elegant expressive user interface but divisor 3 and the office window functionality will come later. They are currently testing with the latest beta version for Android 16 QPR1, which will become a pixel fall in September. It is easy to imagine that with a single version of Android 16 fall, these two changes would have been included.
In the coming months, we are waiting to see certain updated Google applications with the management of equipment 3, but the changes will be minimal, unless you use a phone that runs the Android theme from Google. For all useful purposes, it means a pixel. Motorola has traditionally kept close to Google’s interface, while Samsung, OnePlus and others forged their own paths. But even motorbike has diverged more because it focuses on AI. It is possible that the main reshuffle of the Google user interface only affects pixel users.
