Summary

  • Anker’s entry into the 3D printing market with EuFymake was short -lived.

  • Sales of Ankermake M5 and M5C have stopped indefinitely, the parts can become rare and community solutions may be necessary.

Anker is a brand known for affordable but reliable accessories. It was also briefly a name that you could find on 3D printers, but it ended. Anker’s foray into the world of 3D printing seems to have collapsed, leaving the owners in an unhappy situation.

In March, Anker announced that he was running his 3D printer activities in his EUFY sub -brand – known for robot voids – like “Eufymake”. They promised a “full customer service and support” for the Ankermake M5 and M5C. However, it’s been more than four months, and EuFymake still does not sell any 3D printer. It seems that it is a silent outing of the 3D print game.

Anker confirmed to The penis that the sales of the Ankermake M5 and M5C are interrupted indefinitely. A spokesperson could not confirm if he will never come back or if new models are on the horizon. Eufymake sells a filament and accessories, but that’s it. The only device he sells is a UV texture printer.

Ankermake M5C Review: a budget 3D printer adapted to beginners

Although Anker is not necessarily known to make 3D printers, they certainly made an impression with the Ankermake M5C. Its power balance, style and ease of use, while maintaining a reasonable price, makes it an ideal candidate for many, especially those who simply start their 3D printing trip.

Naturally, the big question now becomes, what happens to the existing 3D printers of Anker? If you have an M5C, you may have trouble finding one of the most critical parts: the host. As the Redditors have reported, the H5C Hotend has been deleted from the official Eufymake website for “inventory reasons” (the hetend M5 is still available). The full extruder set also seems to have disappeared.

This is a big problem because the Holend is one of the most replaceable components on a 3D printer, and often the first thing that is happening. It is literally the part that melts the plastic. Without new covers available for purchase, the M5C will eventually become useless. Anker says that although some accessories are not publicly listed, customers can reach customer support directly. But that does not increase well for the future.

In the end, it is always a possibility to be an early adopter, although this does not excuse Anker’s actions. The company tried to enter a new market, but it did not last long. The good news is that the 3D printing community is nothing but ingenious. Someone has already made an adapter – that you can print yourself, of course – to put a Bambu host on the Ankermake M5C.
