Anthropic Revokes OpenAI’s Access to Claude
Anthropic revoked Openai Access to the API to its models on Tuesday, several sources familiar with the Tell Wired issue. OPENAI was informed that its access had been cut due to the violation of the conditions of use.
“Claude Code has become the essential choice of coders around the world, and it was therefore not surprising to learn that OpenAi’s technical staff also used our coding tools before the launch of GPT-5,” said Anthropic spokesman Christopher Nully in a statement in Wired. “Unfortunately, this is a direct violation of our conditions of use.”

Nully says that anthropic “will continue to ensure that OpenAi has API access for the purposes of comparative analysis and security assessments, as is the standard practice of industry”.
