Apple brings the App Store to the web

It’s a strange thing to consider new in 2025, but Apple has finally put its full App Store on the web.
You can search and browse the App Store for all Apple platforms, in their entirety. Simply select the platform at the top left: iPhone, iPad, Mac, Vision, Watch, or Apple TV.
Naturally, you can’t download apps from a web browser, but there are share buttons and, on Mac, links to open the app in the Mac App Store.
Other than that, it seems to be a more or less complete App Store experience. There are full reviews, descriptions, update history, and even Apple’s privacy “nutrition labels.” You can also browse Apple’s stories and promotional listings. With a few exceptions, it’s the same experience you get on every platform, only available for free on the web.

Individual apps once had web listings, but their scope was quite limited, and the broader App Store, capable of browsing and searching at will, could only be found by opening the App Store app on an Apple device.
