At first glance, The iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Pro Max seem to be a drastic upgrade compared to their predecessors. They have a new fantastic look, the one that adds more character with a two -tone design highlighting the mixture of chassis and aluminum glass. The “camera tray”, as Apple calls it, lengthens the camera module and gives it a more balanced appearance and feeling. (Although I must say that Google did it first.)

The specifications may not be read as a revolutionary on paper: a larger battery, a brighter screen, better performance and a new telephoto camera. There is no singular feature that will make you leave, “Wow!” But when you really feel these individual improvements, they combine to become more than the sum of their parts. There are no major IA characteristics that are pushed into your throat (for various reasons). It is a better iPhone in all directions.

The Cosmic Orange color called my name, but alas, Apple provided me with the Silver iPhone 17 Pro Max and Deep Blue iPhone 17 Pro. I went to these phones after using the iPhone air for several days, and I shouted: “Holy Crap”, after picking them up. They are heavier than the iPhone 16 pro models, and they feel like bricks compared to thin and light air.

I like the camera tray. The two -color separation of glass and aluminum makes it more visually interesting. You might say, “It’s just a phone”, but when a gadget looks and feels good, it makes use more pleasant, and I think that Apple has done a good job here. The phone is no longer low on a table as much as before, therefore, Yay!

Apple has gone from the aluminum titanium to make these thickness slumber, but the change in material also improves thermal conductivity. Talking about heat dissipation is not sexy (that East hot), but it is a key improvement in new iPhones. When you play a graphically intensive game, your iPhone will start to become very hot because the processor does its job. At some point, if things become too hot, the processor is starting to choke so that it does not overheat, but that means that your performance suffers, which causes stinging and jumps in your gameplay. With iPhone 17 Pro models, Apple finally uses a steam room cooling system to help dissipate heat.
