It’s time for another Apple event! Today, March 4, Apple will announce new products, and despite the company’s commitment to secrecy, we already know what most of the reveals are. In fact, Apple has already announced a number of new products this week ahead of the event, including the iPhone 17e, M4 iPad Air, and new Macs including the M5, M5 Pro, and M5 Max variants.

But even though the company has already shared plenty of news on Monday and Tuesday, that doesn’t mean Wednesday’s event will be boring. In fact, Apple could announce one of its most exciting products in years during its March 4 keynote: the MacBook “Neo.” This is a “budget” MacBook, smaller than the 13-inch MacBook Air, that can come in a variety of fun colors. Think of the iPods of yesteryear, but now as an ultra-portable (and potentially affordable) MacBook.

Nothing is set in stone, of course. Apple could defy the leaks and rumors and announce other products instead. But I strongly suspect that the MacBook Neo will be among the stars of Wednesday’s event. Other rumors suggest that Apple is preparing to announce the first-ever touchscreen MacBook, and Apple’s own announcements seem to play into these claims. Tim Cook posted this video to X on February 26, showing an Apple logo “carved” by a user onto the lid of a MacBook. This could be nothing, or it could suggest that users will interact with their MacBook with more than just a trackpad and keyboard.

What do you think of it so far?

We won’t know until Apple makes its announcement during Wednesday’s keynote. For all this news, be sure to keep an eye on the live blog below. I’ll update it before, during and after the event, with any news Apple shares.
