In a ceremony in the White House Rose Garden on November 25, Trump pardoned this year’s Thanksgiving turkeys, Waddle and Gobble.

During the televised pardon, Waddle, apparently, was nowhere to be found.

“Waddle, by the way, is missing, but that’s no big deal,” the president said.

This annual event is a White House tradition dating back years when the U.S. president pardons turkeys a few days before Thanksgiving, when roast turkey is typically served at dinner.

Waddle and Gobble spent the night before their big day in the presidential suite at the Willard InterContinental Hotel in Washington DC, where they received a lot of interest from the Washington DC press.

Trump last pardoned turkeys on Thanksgiving in 2020, when he saved Corn and Cob from the dinner table.
