Arctic seals and more than half of bird species are in trouble on latest list of threatened species

Arctic seals are on the verge of extinction and more than half of the world’s bird species are in decline. This is according to an update on Friday of the list of threatened species from the International Union for Conservation of Nature. Global warming, agriculture, and human-caused deforestation all threaten the environments these creatures need to survive. A positive point were the green sea turtles. They are bouncing back thanks to conservation efforts. The conservation group and experts say it’s proof of what hard work can accomplish.
