House Republicans returned home for a two-week spring break after passing their own short-term funding bill for the Department of Homeland Security, which was doomed to fail in the Senate. House Speaker Mike Johnson led the charge against a different bill that had unanimously passed the Republican-led Senate the night before. This comes as President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Friday to temporarily pay TSA agents. NBC’s Julie Tsirkin reports for Saturday TODAY.
