Arjun Tendulkar’s sister Sara Tendulkar, wife Saania Chandhok in stands for LSG vs GT clash
NEW DELHI: Arjun Tendulkar’s wife Saania Chandhok and sister Sara Tendulkar were spotted at the Ekana Stadium during the IPL 2026 clash between Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans, cheering for the home team.
Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun is part of the Lucknow Super Giants squad for IPL 2026.
Sara, a day before the LSG vs GT clash, was seen arriving in town with her sister-in-law Saania. Arjun married Saania in a grand ceremony in Mumbai on March 5, 2026.
Sara and Saania were spotted by media, photographers and fans at the airport. When asked which team she would support, Sara chose to keep a low profile, responding only with a smile despite repeated requests.
On the field, Gujarat Titans won the toss and elected to bowl first. Arjun, who was picked up by LSG for Rs 30 lakh in the IPL 2026 auction, was not included in the playing XI.
After winning the toss, GT skipper Shubman Gill said, “We will take the field first. Two runs in the last match gives us a lot of confidence. We are looking to play better cricket and ensure that the match does not end last. We had a great time, consistency is important in a long tournament like IPL. After 14 matches, the most consistent team will win the tournament. Same team for us today.”
Meanwhile, LSG captain Rishabh Pant has joined the same team.
“I think the way wickets are these days, you know, the margin batting first or bowling first is not much, but you know, we bowl first. I think for us, it’s amazing. You know, every win is important, and especially when you win like that, it shows the character of a team, you know. But we want to move on, you know, take one game at a time and do our best,” said Pant.
“(Talks about head-to-head) You see, it’s definitely a big boost to win a match and get to the next one. But at the same time, you know, you always have to give your best in every match because the wicket may play differently, the conditions may be different. But at the same time, the last match when we played, we talked about intention on the field. We always talk about it as a team and it was great to see when we were on the field, we were putting bodies on the line. We play with the same team,” he said.
