Armed Paramilitary Thugs on Motorcycles Are Now Hunting Down Trump Supporters – RedState

There has been an unfortunate development in Venezuela, and it comes in the form of a collectives on motorcycles armed with Russian-made weapons, to hunt down citizens who applauded the actions of the Trump administration, which led to the fall of dictator Nicolás Maduro. While Maduro waits for justice in a New York prison, his civilian foot soldiers – after going underground following the successful combined action of the US military and law enforcement – have surfaced and are seeking justice for all those who welcomed Trump’s involvement and applauded Maduro’s impeachment.
Several different reports indicate that colectivos descended on the Venezuelan capital of Caracas on Monday and Tuesday, causing traffic jams and chaos as they hunted down Trump supporters and sought revenge.
The masked thugs, known as Colectivos, armed with Russian automatic weapons, stopped rush-hour traffic in the Venezuelan capital, stopping drivers at checkpoints and demanding to search their phones and cars, four Venezuelan sources confirmed Monday and Tuesday.
The troubled circumstances make residents worried about what will happen next, said the Venezuelans, who requested anonymity because of the threat of reprisals.

The re-emergence of colectivos follows reports that Venezuela’s interim government has launched its own hunt for those celebrating Maduro’s arrest. Here’s RedState’s Ward Clark on Monday:
Today, the high-ranking man and his wife face federal charges in the United States, but his illegal junta still rules the South American nation and is already seeking retaliation against anyone in Venezuela who may have supported the U.S. raid.
Venezuelan authorities have been ordered to search for and arrest anyone involved in supporting the military operation that led to the arrest of Nicolas Maduro.
A state of emergency order issued on Saturday, but released on Monday, orders police to “immediately begin a nationwide search and capture of any person involved in promoting or supporting the armed attack of the United States,” according to the text of the order, Reuters reported.
It is unclear what charges could be brought against those detained.
As Ward noted, the collectives had remained silent while the government hunted down its perceived enemies, but it is now a one-two punch against those who welcome the demise of communism in their country. Journalists are also said to be in hiding, fearing the regime’s attempts at revenge.
A local said: “The future is uncertain, the Colectivos have weapons, the Colombian guerrillas are already here in Venezuela, so we don’t know what will happen, time will tell.” »

If you haven’t read Streiff’s take on the new regime, temporarily led by Maduro associate Delcy Rodriguez, he beautifully lays out how the new regime, nominally supported by the Trump administration, is the same as the old regime. Rodriguez, Streiff writes, “is a communist activist and trusted aide to both Chavez and Maduro,” who was sanctioned by Trump in his first term for “suppression of dissent.”
The current campaign of terror carried out by the collectives This certainly seems to reinforce the idea that the names may have changed, but communist ideology persists and, as Streiff concludes, “the only thing that has changed since Saturday is that Maduro is gone.”
