Gavin Newsom’s Imbecilic Response to Bed, Bath, and Beyond News Prompts Smackdown From Executive Chairman – RedState

Redstate reported on Wednesday to the announcement of BED, Bath, and beyond the executive president Marcus Lemonis that his business did not intend to open locations in California.
“We will not open or use retail stores in California,” wrote Lemonis.
In addition to stressing that the decision was not “on politics”, Lemonis then noted that “California created one of the most started, the most expensive and risky environments for companies in America. It is a system that makes people more difficult to use, more difficult to keep the doors open and more difficult to bring value to customers.”

Other California companies have either been reduced, closed or left the state for similar reasons in what certain political observers and commercial commentators have called a massive exodus.
Lemonis’ remarks were made in the midst of a return attempt for the online goods retailer after closing his brick and mortar locations in 2023 and deposited for the bankruptcy of chapter 11. Represented under the name of Bed Bath & Beyond Home, its first location opened its doors this month in Nashville, and the company plans to open hundreds of other stores in the coming months.
Instead of acting as a real leader who was impatient to work with the company to provide essential jobs to his state, Newsom and his unleashed social media team published fairly foolish – and rather revealing – answers on X.
“The company that has already gone bankrupt and closed all the stores across the country two years ago? OK,” said Newsom in a tweet.
In another, he struck the criticism of the former president of the Kevin McCarthy room (R-CA) of his reaction, writing that “then, he will announce that the blockbuster also wants to return to California”.
His press office has published this:
After their bankruptcy and their closure of each store, like most Americans, we thought that bed, bath and beyond no longer existed.
We wish them good luck in their efforts to become relevant again when they try to open a 2nd store.
Dumb, distraught and childish are only a few of the words that came to my mind when I read these kinds of things, but it was Lémonis himself who had the best return of all, suggesting as words that he was quite surprising that instead of looking for ways to attract investments and capital, Newsom rejected him:
“Well, I think that the thing that surprised me was that I was trying to articulate, in a non-aggressive manner, exactly why our company was not going to reinvest the capital in California. What I discovered this afternoon is that Governor Newsom had enough time to answer a tweet to remind everyone in America that, in 2023, the company was proving.

While the governor and his staff make fun of the business as she tries to bounce back, here are some additional things to keep in mind on the Golden State under the “direction” of Newsom just to underline the jacka ** pure and simple of their answers (linguistic warning):

Continue to make fun of companies that are forced to leave California by your abyssal policies seem to work. pic.twitter.com/5j7vjyw7xt

But keep “Slay, Kween, kill” on social networks, the governor. Are you doing well. Yeah.
