USMNT squad: Antonee Robinson returns as Pochettino calls up 26 for friendlies | USA

Mauricio Pochettino has appointed a list of 26 players for the next American national team matches against Ecuador and Australia which includes many familiar names – and has a very notable omission.
Bournemouth midfielder Tyler Adams, a usual team of the team who was captain of the United States during the 2022 World Cup, is not included. Adams was not disclosed as having an injury and was in great shape for Bournemouth to start the Premier League season. Pochettino should approach the player’s absence at a press conference later Thursday.
The team is also remarkable for certain important yields. Antonee Robinson is back for the first time since he underwent a knee operation after the end of the last season of the Premier League, as well as striker Patrick Agyemang after his summer transfer from Charlotte FC to the Derby County.
A few notable players will miss the friendly matches due to an injury, a group that includes Atlético Madrid midfielder Johnny Cardoso, the Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Gio Reyna, and the duo Psv Eindhoven of striker Ricardo Pepi and defender Sergiño Dest.
The United States will play the equator on October 10 at 8:30 p.m. he in Austin, Texas, before going to northern Colorado to play in Australia on October 14 at 9 p.m. he.
Here are the Pochettino selections and some initial take -out points:
Goalkeepers
Chris Brady (Chicago Fire), Matt Freese (New York City FC), Patrick Schulte (Columbus Crew), Matt Turner (New England Revolution)
Turner returns to the team after missing the last window, and once again, he faces a tight competition for shirt No. 1. This time, he will compete with NYC FC Freese, who was Pochettino’s favorite starter through the Gold Cup during the summer and friendly matches thereafter. Brady joins after a solid projection against Inter Miami in a wild victory in the middle of the week, and Schulte hopes to translate another appearance in a camp in a certain time with the first team.
Defenders
Max Arfsten (Columbus Crew), Cameron Carter-Vickers (Celtic), Alex Freeman (Orlando City), Mark McKenzie (FC Toulouse), Tim Ream (Charlotte FC), Chris Richards (Crystal Palace), Antonee Robinson (Fulham), Miles Robinson (FC Cincinnati)
The Robinsons back, Antonee and Miles highlight a group which is largely the same as the last windows, with notable exceptions of Tristan Blackmon (by injury) and Noahkai Banks. Robinson de Fulham has only made apparitions scattered on the bench of his club since his return from an off -season knee operation, but is sufficiently in good shape to join the American team after his absence this summer. With five central backs (Carter-Vickers, McKenzie, Ream, Richards and Miles Robinson), it seems likely that Pochettino could return to the formation of three two times which worked so well for the United States in a friendly victory against Japan the last time.

Fields
Brenden Aaronson (Leeds United), Diego Luna (Real Salt Lake), Weston McKennie (Juventus), Aidan Morris (Middlesbrough), Cristian Roldan (Seattle Sounders), James Sands (FC St Pauli), Tanner Tessmann (Olympique Lyon), Malik Tillman (Bayer Leverkusen)
McKennie returns to the American team for the first time since the disastrous final of the March League of Nations, with the duty of the Club World Cup excluding him for the summer games and Pochettino omits him for the last pair of third parties. Its role will be interesting to manage, in particular in the absence of Adams. Morris returns for the first time from the first international pocket window a year ago, with sands appearing for the first time. The two started well for their clubs and could be a depth option at the time of the World Cup with a good performance. Yunus Musah is another notable exclusion after mainly out of the bench so that Atalanta started the season with his new club.
Attacker
Patrick Agyemang (Derby County), Folarin Balogun (like Monaco), Christian Pulisic (Milan), Tim Weah (Marseille), Haji Wright (Coventry City), Alex Zendejas (club American)
Balogun and Zendejas performed well in their first American calls from 2025 the last time. AGYEMANG’s inclusion follows a solid beginning of life in England with Derby Country – the attacker was one of the great beneficiaries of the experimental team of the Pocset d’Or Pochet. Pulisic is entering this set of friendly matches in undoubtedly the best form of his career.
