Trump, Elon Musk Reunite At Charlie Kirk Memorial After Bitter Public Feud

President Donald Trump and the CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, sat side by side during the commemorative service on Sunday for the founder of Turning Point USA, Charlie Kirk, after a bitter quarrel on the reconciliation package passed in July.
Trump and Musk exchanged cheap fire via articles on their social media platforms in June arising from Musk’s criticism on the reconciliation bill that Trump signed on July 4. Kirk expressed the hope that the two would reconcile during the July 1 episode of “The Charlie Kirk Show”. Video during the commemorative service has shown that Trump and Musk were apparently talking about amicably, and a photo taken during the service showed that the two shake hands. In an article on June 30 on X, Musk threatened to start a third party to approach public spending.

Musk directed the Ministry of Government Effectiveness (DOGE) after Trump established it in an executive decree of January 20. DOGE has identified $ 206 billion in savings since Trump established it, on average $ 1,279.50 per taxpayer, according to the organization’s website.
“All of this is part of Trump’s story. Sometimes things become very heated, then there is a reconciliation – there is a rapprochement,” Kirk said during his program on July 1. “And we all agree that we want Elon Musk and we want Donald Trump to work in collaboration.”
Kirk noted that Trump and Republican Governor Ron Desantis of Florida have repaired things since Désantis challenged Trump in the 2024 republican primaries.
“The best example in front of us is that, as we do, President Trump hangs out with Ron Desantis. Ron Desantis, who – they were the worst imaginable enemies … They were simply tackling KIRK, when they discussed a joint appearance by Trump and the detention of” Alligator Alcatraz “, an installation of immigration detention. “They were in the middle of a primary. Donald Trump had no very good things about Ron Desantis at all. And now they answer questions about the tarmac and – in his own words, he says that his relationship with Ron Desantis is a ten ”.
