Atalanta Bergamo will host Bayern Munich this Tuesday March 10 for the first leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16 for the 2025-2026 season.

The Bavarian club, who have put in an impressive attacking performance this season under Harry Kane, will aim to secure a positive away result ahead of the second leg at the Allianz Arena.
For their part, Atalanta, the last Italian team still in contention at this stage, hopes to capitalize on home advantage and the support of their public to obtain a favorable result, despite the absence of their star striker Ademola Lookman.
It’s also worth noting that Bayern Munich have never faced Atalanta in an official European competition. Tuesday’s match will therefore mark the very first continental meeting between the two teams.
A trio of Norwegian referees
UEFA appointed Norwegian referee Espen Eskås to officiate the match, assisted by his compatriots Jan Erik Engan and Isaak Elias Bashevkin.

Sigurd Kringstad will be the fourth referee, while the Dutchman Dennis Higler will be in charge of the VAR (video assistant referee).
Kick-off date and time
The first leg will take place on March 10, 2026 in Bergamo at 8:00 p.m. GMT, while the return leg is scheduled for March 18, 2026 at the Allianz Arena in Munich, at the same time.
