The authorities published a photo of the suspect’s social media on Monday in the Idaho firefighter and identified the firefighters who were killed and injured in the ambush.

The suspect, Wess Roley, 20, was seen in a photo published in his Instagram history wearing painting with a black face and camouflage clothes with a bandolor on his size, the authorities shared during a press conference.

Roley, who was found dead near the shooting scene after the attack which killed two firefighters and injured another, would have committed suicide, according to the sheriff of the county of Kootenai, Bob Norris.

The attacks of firefighters of the attack were identified at the press conference. Frank Harwood and John Morrison were killed, while Dave Tisdale is hospitalized in a stable state.

The suspect would have deliberately set a brush fire on Canfield Mountain, near the heart of Alene, Idaho, Sunday to attract the first speakers arriving to extinguish the fire. The suspect was tried in possession of a flint starter who, according to Norris, was used to light the fire.

The firefighters responded to the fire around 1:30 p.m., and shots were reported about half an hour later.

In the audio of the scene, a firefighter said that there was an “emergency situation” and an “active shooter”.

“We need the police here immediately,” the firefighter told a distributor, adding that there were “two battalion leaders”.

“We have another firefighter from Alene below … We have two insensitive battalion leaders, several ball wounds, two hearts from Alene are broken … I am pinned,” said the appellant.

The appellant also said that the fire “was intentionally to attract us”.

“It is clear to me that this fire was intentionally fixed to attract us,” said the caller.

The police launched a manhunt, according to the suspect through the ground. Using mobile phone data, a tactical team located Roley’s body and a firearm several hours later in a wooded area near the original point of the fire.

The governor of Idaho, Brad Litt, condemned the incident as “an odious and direct assault on our brave firefighters” and promised complete state support to the investigation.

“They answered the call to protect others and paid the ultimate price,” said Little.

The reason behind Roley’s actions is not clear, and Norris said on Monday that no manifesto had been found. Federal authorities, including the FBI, help the investigation.

“We have information that he wanted to be a firefighter,” said Norris. “So we do not know if there is a link in this desire. And what happened yesterday. But, there is information that we received that he wanted at some point to be a firefighter.“”

Norris said that there had been five law application interactions with Roley, who, according to him, was very minor in nature, as incidents of intrusion.

Roley had an interaction with the firefighters before shooting the place where his car was parked, said sheriff.

It appeared that the suspect lived in his vehicle, noted Norris.

“We know he was a transitional here,” said sheriff. “We knew that he lived here during the best part of 2024. But as far as he arrives here, why he was here, why he chose this place. I don’t know. He has parents in the Priest river region, but I don’t know why he chose this. We find no link. We may not know.”
