Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime Show Performance Was a Middle Finger to America – RedState

The National Football League hasn’t really cared about what conservatives or anyone who actually loves America thinks for a long time, and they just highlighted that with Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show performance, which was even worse than we thought.
As the show approaches, the predictable cries of “racist!” were shouted at anyone who had a problem with his selection, but it’s not that Bad Bunny sings in a language other than English. It’s his hatred for the United States of America.
I love Arthur Brooks, it’s a dishonest view. Conservatives aren’t angry because Bad Bunny sings in Spanish. Shakira sang in Spanish at SB, that was no problem. We’re angry because he hates America, wears a dress like a weirdo, and doesn’t even stand for the national anthem. pic.twitter.com/SlDAKquiFG

Fast forward to the show, which was almost entirely in Spanish. . .

. . . and he ended his performance with 3 words in English, “God Bless America”, but he didn’t mean it the way one would hope.
He then listed mostly Latin American countries where performers were prancing around waving these flags, then said in Spanish, “The only thing more powerful than hate is love,” before tossing a soccer ball that read, “Together we are America.” This means that together, all of these countries make up America.
No.

My friend, California attorney Laura Powell, explained:
Bad Bunny was criticized for refusing to perform the song “God Bless America” at a Yankees game in October.
Today during the Super Bowl halftime show, he said “God bless America,” but don’t let that fool you into thinking it was some sort of conciliatory gesture.
He then listed the names of countries in what Spanish speakers consider a single continent called “America,” making it clear that he intended to change the meaning of the phrase from one of patriotism for the United States to praise for most Latin American countries.
At least Lady Gaga sang in English.

Anthony Scaramucci, who wasn’t really right about anything, continued to be wrong.
Bad Bunny crushes, he’s inclusive and he’s real and he has a great heart and soul. Great move by the NFL to bring him in tonight.

Former RedState editor Kira Davis did it.
This Super Bowl halftime show is most certainly a slap in the face to America. On purpose. Shame on @nfl Shame on you.

And then she managed to do it harder.
Allie Beth is right. That’s exactly how I felt. I told my husband, “It’s a flag planting.” It didn’t feel like a “cultural experience.” That was… rude. I don’t know how else to describe it. It was as if @nfl telling the average American to fuck off. https://t.co/hITSUCiapO

I think support for ICE just increased by 20 points

So far I’ve heard from two friends whose native language was Spanish who couldn’t understand what Bad Bunny was saying, and it seems they’re not alone.
I watched Bad Bunny’s halftime show looking for what he might say or do…
I’m Puerto Rican and I didn’t understand half of what came out of his mouth so I’m still not sure 😂

Bad Bunny sucked but you already knew I peaked for @TPUSA a show that was really good. Bad Bunny plays for a nation that the left wants, but most of the nation does not. Shame on @nflcommish for having brought this big game to the territory of the AOC.

President Trump spoke about this on Truth Social:
The Super Bowl halftime show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst EVER! This makes no sense, is an affront to the greatness of America, and does not represent our standards of achievement, creativity, or excellence. No one understands a word this guy says, and the dancing is disgusting, especially to young children watching all over the United States and around the world. This “Show” is just a “slap in the face” to our country, which sets new standards and records every day – including the best stock market and 401(k) in history! There is nothing inspiring about this mess of a halftime show and viewing, it will get great reviews from the fake media because they don’t have a clue what’s going on in the REAL WORLD – And, by the way, the NFL should immediately replace their ridiculous new kickoff rule. LET’S GIVE AMERICA BACK THE GREAT NEWS! President DONALD J. TRUMP
Of course, Green Day also happened, as RedState friend John Ondrasik reminded me.
It is perhaps the greatest achievement in rock history. https://t.co/UESsFPrT8C

I know every halftime show can’t be legendary, but maybe we could raise the bar a little higher?
Here are a few that I particularly liked. First of all, Prince:
There have been great #SuperBowl halftime shows like Michael Jackson Rose Bowl 1993. It was one of my favorites
ZZTop was awesome
Prince in 2007 was also very entertaining. Do you remember it?pic.twitter.com/vj2ujW40NR

Michael Jackson:
On this NFL Super Bowl night, we remember Michael Jackson’s legendary performance in 1993. This performance set the standard for all. #SuperBowl halftime show that followed. The GOAT. pic.twitter.com/9tEpzq8Dxe
