Cuba maintains close relations with Nicolas Maduro’s Venezuela. But with Maduro gone after a military operation in which Maduro was captured, Havana could be exposed if oil supplies collapse.
Trump suggested on Sunday that a US military intervention in the country was not necessary because Cuba is “ready to fall.”
