The Chicago Bears recruit corner, Zah Frazier, will miss his full season recruited because of what general manager Ryan Polas describes as a “personal” situation. The choice of fifth round was placed on Monday on the list of reserve / non-football injuries.

The posts did not offer a lot of details on what Frazier is dealing with, but said it was something that had happened before being drafted by the Bears.

“He had a situation that arose in a category that I would say [is] “Personal,” said the posts. Thus, credit to our staff finding the deep cause of what he was going through. He will have broken down for the year but he will spend time going to meetings, in the weight room and with the medical staff who are preparing for next season to prepare to play.

“A kind of disappointment at the front, but I think that because of everyone’s work and care here, we put it on the right track.”

Frazier has not trained since the Recruit Minicamp, but was spotted in a golf cart during a training session last week, according to ESPN.

The UTSA product impressed the NFL 2025 scout combination, measuring almost 6 3 inch feet with arms reaching almost 33 inches. He ran a 4.36 dashboard of 40 yards, which ranked fourth among the cornerbacks.

Frazier was selected by Chicago with the overall choice n ° 169 at the NFL 2025 draft. Last season, he recorded 24 combined plated, nine defensive assists and six interceptions. These six interceptions were tied with Notre Dame Safety Xavier Watts for the second largest number of FBS, and were the most recorded in a single season in the history of the UTSA. This led to a selection of All-American First Team conferences.
