Beatbot targets the midrange with its Sora 70 robotic pool cleaner

Advanced pool robots can easily exceed $1,500, and the most advanced models now cost $4,000 or more. Finding value in the robotic pool cleaning space is difficult, which is why market leader Beatbot is introducing a new collection of robots, the Beatbot Sora series at CES 2026.
The Sora 70 is the first model in the new series (which is unrelated to the popular AI generator app) and, to the casual eye, looks a lot like Beatbot’s existing AquaSense robot models. It’s a tall unit mounted on small steps, with 6,800 gallons per hour of suction power and an oversized six-gallon debris filter basket. An optional secondary filter allows the unit to capture grains and sand as small as 3 microns.
The internal 10,000 mAh battery provides up to 5 hours of floor cleaning. (The robot also takes care of cleaning walls and waterlines.)

The Beatbot Sora robotic pool cleaner can also float on water to function as a skimmer.

Like the AquaSense 2 Ultra that we reviewed in October 2025, the Sora 70 can also clean the pool surface, using two jets of water to travel across the surface. In this mode, the battery can provide up to 7 hours of uninterrupted cleaning.
And unlike that model, the new Sora Series is capable of cleaning in shallow water, with as little as 8 inches of coverage. This allows the unit to reach steps and shelves prohibited to most other robots, although Maytronics also released a similar feature with its new Dolphin Eon series, announced here at CES on January 4.
Like Beatbot’s AquaSense robots – the company yesterday announced a new high-end model in this series, the AquaSense This feature is, at this time, unique to Beatbot and is a major convenience that streamlines and improves the cleaning process, especially in the off-season when the pool water is very cold.
The catch: Pricing for the Sora 70 hasn’t been set yet, so we’ll have to take Beatbot’s affordability claims for now. The unit will be on sale starting spring 2026.
