Watch: Trump Considers Extending Obamacare Subsidies

Amanda Seitz, health policy reporter for KFF Health News in Washington, appeared on NewsNation NewsNation Live with Connell McShane on Nov. 24 to discuss President Donald Trump’s latest healthcare proposal.

Seitz noted that the plan — which has not been officially unveiled — could extend more generous, expiring subsidies that help many Americans pay their share of Affordable Care Act premiums. But the extension would likely impose the limitations Republicans are seeking, including changes to eligibility for the enhanced aid, she said.
