No, it’s not an Olsen thing. Bella Hadid just made her Paris Fashion Week debut and convinced us that the pageboy bob will be spring’s hottest haircut.
Clearly, the 29-year-old model has been craving a hair transformation recently. Last week, she debuted a new wispy fringe with its low-maintenance sandy blonde color. Since then, her long layers have been cut down to her chin. And while it definitely brings some energy to Parisian chic, this look has a little more edge than the romantic French bob.

A cut with ’60s roots, “the traditional pageboy bob featured a rounded length, from ear to shoulder, with blunt ends curled inward and thick bangs,” Elliot Bute, a stylist at London-based Hershesons salon, previously said. Charm. While OG pageboy bobs (think: Princess Diana) had a distinctly rounded shape, modern interpretations like Hadid’s “add varied lengths and textured finishes, transforming the once-rigid style into something more versatile,” says Bute.
Unlike a blunt bob, which favors sharp lines, the softer pageboy bob invites tousled texture. That’s what makes this an effortless short haircut for spring and summer: it’s short enough to keep things cool, but not so precise that you’ll have to carry it around your flat iron. While this look may be sleek, it looks just as intentional with a touch of textured spray and some natural curves.
