If you want good quality sound but don’t want to spend more than $200, the Bose QuietComfort headphones are an affordable answer in the brand’s lineup. They focus on a perfect fit, as they come with multiple tips and multiple bands that you can change on the earbuds for a better fit over the ridge of your ear.

The accompanying app lets you adjust audio levels, but you won’t need to, as these headphones make all your music sound better. They are reliable, have long battery life, and are sure to please music lovers.

I praised the Ultra Comfort Quietbut Bose’s latest headphones, the entry-level QuietComfort, are also fantastic, especially with their sub-$200 price tag. Even after adjusting the tips and bands, I didn’t find the fit as secure as the Ultras. However, my colleague Bethany Allard, who also tested the QuietComfort headphones, said they were the best headphones she had ever fitted.

The sound quality of the QuietComfort is simply phenomenal. With these headphones, listening to Ethel Cain’s “A House in Nebraska” immersed me in the orchestrations. When the Commodores’ “Brick House” came on, the headphones elevated the snappy drum beats, mimicking live listening.

The noise cancellation on the QuietComfort headphones isn’t as sophisticated as that on the Ultras; I found they had more sound leakage and that classic ANC buzz when I was in noisy environments. The ANC on these is still excellent, especially in quiet spaces.

One small issue I have with the Bose QuietComfort headphones is that they require a different app than the standard Bose app. This is annoying if you’re an existing Bose user and need to download another app; Plus, this headphone app just isn’t as good as Bose’s flagship app.

Overall, these are a solid pair of headphones that, for $179.99, offer unbeatable value for money.
