Best GoPro Camera (2025): Compact, Budget, Accessories

The first 3 cameras of Gopro heroes compared
Goopros to avoid
Gopro sells nothing more than the Hero 12, but there are a lot of heroes 11 and even heroes 10 for sale on the internet. We suggest avoiding them. They can work well, but modern accessories designed for subsequent models will not work, and these cameras have probably crossed the spinner. (These are action cameras, after all.)
What about Gopro Max?

What most people call a “GoPro” is actually the Black Hero camera. Gopro also manufactures a few other cameras, including the maximum. The max is the attempt to go to three cameras in one. He can take images and photos and photos of hero style, and he works like a vlogging camera. Although the functionality of 360 -degree time is great and the sound is quite good, it’s been a while since Gopro has updated it, and there are better 360 cameras. Our first choice is the X5 of Insta360. Gopro max can be more durable, but in almost all other ways, the X5 comes back. Hopefully Gopro will update the max in 2025.
The best Gopro accessories

Should you buy a package? Generally, I say no. Get the camera, discover it and see how you end up using it. When you find yourself trying to solve a problem, start looking for an accessory. Here are some of my favorite things that I tested and used, but if you have favorites, you think I should try, put a comment below.
A good microSD card for $ 60: Depending on Gopro’s recommendations, you want a microSD card with a V30 or UHS-3 note. That said, GoPros can be capricious on SD cards. I was lucky and I recommend that the Samsung has linked here. Another card that I widely used is the Sandisk Extreme Pro.
Gopro Media Mod for $ 80: By far my most used accessory, the multimedia mod adds a little bulk, but in most cases, this is more than offset by the fact that you can connect a real microphone (I use mine with a wireless rode). The sound quality is radically improved with it. This may be less necessary if you get the hero 12 or later, as these models support bluetooth microphones.
Gopro Gopro Growbar Mount for $ 40: I have done much more driving lately and this mount has lived roughly on my bike these days. It was solid in my tests and beat one of the third -party frames that I tested.
Gopro tripod mounting adapters for $ 30: Unless you have the hero 12 or 13, which has an integrated tripod assembly, you will need it to mount your GoPro in a tripod like the Gorillapod above.
Gopro Floaty for $ 35: If you approach water, take one. Believe me, you will abandon your GoPro and when you will, you will be happy that you have this (unless the water is clear and you are a good free diver.) The Gopro also makes a Floating grip ($ 23), which not only floats but has a leash for diving or surfing.
Gopro Selfie Stick for $ 80: This 48 -inch extension post is surprisingly small and is not very heavy. It is the best selfie stick that I used. I rarely use it for selfies, but that makes a large single monopod on soft soil, like a sandy beach.
DAVANCI Resolve Studio for $ 300: This is my choice video editing software. There is a free version, but I was tired of converting the media to adapt to the restrictions of the free version. The best money I have ever spent when it comes to making better videos.
