A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket rises from the NASA Kennedy Space Center in Florida on September 24, 2025, transporting three missions which will investigate the influence of the sun through the solar system.
The NASA IMAP (Cartography and interstellar acceleration probe), the agency Carruthers Geocorona observatory and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Observatory (NOAA) will follow – the Spatial of Lagrange 1 (SWFO -L1) will each focus on the different effects of the solar wind – the continuous flow of particles emitted by the sun – more distant reached billions of kilometers from there to the edge of our solar system.
