Donald Trump said he was thinking that Ukraine can regain all the land it had lost since the Russian invasion of 2022 in one of the strongest statements of support he brought to kyiv.

Writing on Truth Social after meeting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Tuesday on Tuesday, the American president said that “Ukraine, with the support of the European Union, is able to fight and win all of Ukraine in its original form”.

Trump echoes these comments at a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron shortly after. Trump said Ukraine’s ability to retaliate could prove that Russia is a “paper tiger”.

“I feel that. I really feel that. Let them recover their land,” added the president.


Trump says that Ukraine can recover all lost lands against Russia since 2022

The American president issued his optimistic evaluation by saying that Russia was in great difficulty, after meeting Zelenskyy in New York.

He wrote: “After getting to know and understand the military and economic situation of Ukraine / Russia and, after having seen economic troubles, he causes Russia, I think that Ukraine, with the support of the European Union, is able to fight and win all of Ukraine.

“Over time, the patience and financial support of Europe and, in particular, NATO, the original borders of the place where this war started, is an option. Why not?”
