As with any new piece of furniture, you will want to take a little time to balance your needs with the space and the budget you have for that.
What is your budget?
Prices vary widely for standing offices, but you can find an excellent one to meet your needs to almost all budgets. As indicated above, the Ikea Trotten standing office was my favorite option under $ 350.
How much space do you have?
Make sure you have enough space for your standing office before making your purchase. Not only consider the room in which it takes place either. Also think of the doors, stairwells and other places that the box must cross. This could hold in your desktop space, but if you cannot pass your third floor, you will be trouble.
What size do you want to go?
All the high -height -adjustable offices have a low and high range to sit and stand up, but the height adjustment ranges are not universal on different styles and brands. If you are on the shortest or highest, some models may not be comfortable for you, then check the specifications in advance to determine if you will be comfortable using the office, both sitting and standing.
Electric or manual?
An electric standing office will cost more than a standing manual office, so your budget will come into play here, but there is no longer to consider. Manual offices, which have pneumatic pedals, hand cranks or other manual controls, are lighter and quieter because there is no heavy engine and noise mounted under your desk. Manual offices do not require the proximity of an outlet to operate. Electric standing offices allow easy increase and drop by pressing a button. Some even have digital height readings so that you can always return your office to the same seated or standing height parameters.
