On Wednesday morning, three people were injured in an American immigration and customs office in Dallas.

The police told CNN that at least two of the victims were ice prisoners. Todd Lyons, the acting director of ice, told the network that three people had been shot dead and that all were taken to the hospital.

A spokesperson for the ICE told NBC News that the three people drawn were prisoners in the establishment, and that no ice agent had been killed or injured.

Kristi Noem, the secretary of the Ministry of Internal Security, confirmed on X that the alleged shooter died of a self-inflicted ball injury and wrote: “Although we do not yet know the reason, we know that our ice forces of ice are faced with unprecedented violence against them. This must stop.”

Dallas police said in an article on X that they had answered a call on September 24 “around 6:40 am”.

“The preliminary investigation determined that a suspect had opened fire in a government building in an adjacent building. Two people have been transported to hospital with shot injury. A victim died on the scene. The suspect died. This is an investigation in progress, and we are organizing a press briefing later today,” they wrote.

JD Vance, the vice-president, described the shooting an “obsessive attack on the police” which must “stop”. However, as indicated above, no ice agent was injured.

“I pray for everyone injured in this attack and for their families,” wrote Vance on X.
