President Donald Trump’s “Peace Council,” which was initially seen as a mechanism to end the war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, is taking shape with ambitions to have a much broader mandate on other global crises, potentially rivaling the United Nations in what would be a major upheaval for the post-World War II international order.
