Bodies of missing French alpinists found in Mont Blanc massif

Two French mountain climbers died in an accident in the Mont Blanc channel, the authorities confirmed on Saturday.
The victims are a 25 -year -old woman and a 60 -year -old man who had disappeared since Friday, the France Bleu radio station reported.
The Chamonix -based mountain rescue unit, PGHM, discovered the bodies at the foot of a crest on the Bionnassay needle, a technically demanding area of the Mont Blanc massif.
The exact circumstances of the accident remain unclear. An investigation was launched.
