The Cleveland Browns saw Sheder Sanders playing a very lively match in their first pre-season match against the Caroline Panthers. Unfortunately, he missed the team’s second pre-season game due to an oblique injury.

During the week 3 of the pre-season, Sanders did not receive a lot of playing time. He finished three of his six attempts at 14 yards throughout the match.

What was strange in this performance was that head coach Kevin Stefanski chose to shoot Sanders late in the match. He put Tyler Huntley in the game, which was clearly not going to list 53 men. This decision was strange when he could have given Sanders more precious end -of -game representatives.

Stefanski and the Browns were faced with accusations about the intentionally implementation of Sanders in positions. At the very least, they are accused of having worked hard to give Dillon Gabriel a better chance of success than Sanders.

Despite all the outside noise, Cleveland continued business as usual.

During his meeting with the press on Sunday, Stefanski spoke about the theories that circulated. He clearly indicated that he was working to develop Sanders as he would with any other young player.

“I do not care about external types, but I am determined in its development, just like all our recruits,” said Stefanski.

Although it will not stop rumors and speculation, Stefanski was very clear. He works to help Sanders grow and improve as a player as much as he is Gabriel or any other recruit. No preferential treatment is given.

Sanders put himself in a place to receive media threshing at the start of his recruit season. He has shown lightning of the elite potential that everyone has spoken. However, there is clearly the work to do for him.

It will be interesting to see what the rest of the 2025 season reserves the Browns in a quarter-arre position. Joe Flacco will be the starter of week 1, but he is far from being guaranteed to start all year round.

Kenny Pickett, Gabriel and Sanders will make all pressure for playing time. In the meantime, Cleveland should expect to continue to hear a lot of outside noise regarding Sanders.
