Browns reveal new alternate ‘Alpha Dawg’ helmet

Berea, Ohio – The Cleveland Browns unveiled a new fully brown alternative helmet on Wednesday, which will be carried three times during the next season of the 2025 NFL.
The helmet, called “Alpha Dawg”, has a completely brown mat shell with a brown strip between two orange stripes in the middle and a mask in all brown.

“‘Alpha Dawg’ embodies what we have stopped being as Cleveland Browns, the leaders of the pack,” said Browns executive vice-president, JW Johnson, in a statement. “We are delighted with this new alternative helmet and the ode which it pours to the rich history of the brown color as part of our organization, by passing it from our emblematic orange helmets.”
Cleveland will wear the helmet with their entirely brown uniforms on September 21 against Green Bay packers, on October 19 against Miami dolphins and on December 7 against the titans of Tennessee. It is the first time in the history of the franchise that the team will wear brown helmets.
The brown helmet is the third cover that the Browns have within the framework of the enlarged uniform policy of the NFL, joining the standard orange helmet in Cleveland and its alternative white helmet.
