The quest for Desmond Watson to make Tampa Bay Buccaneers will take on a late start.

Buccaners coach Todd Bowles said that the heaviest player in the history of the NFL is day by day after starting the camp on a list of non -football injuries because of his weight.

“It’s just about trying to improve it, being a healthier player and putting it a little more on the field,” said Bowles on Wednesday. “It’s a bit where I’m right now. He is working on it and we are working with him and that’s all you can ask at the moment.”

Watson, who played in Florida, was signed after being not drafted in April. He weighed 464 LB in the professional day of the school and lost 25 to 30 lb before the project.

“I don’t have a calendar on what we can make it pass or when it comes,” said Bowles. “He is Armwood, he went to Florida, so he is used to heat. It is not an important factor. We just have to see what’s going on.”

The 6 -foot defensive tackle 6 inches worked with a nutritionist from the team and the team did not say what would be an ideal weight for him.
