‘Bugonia’ trailer: Jesse Plemons kidnaps Emma Stone in Yorgos Lanthimos’ latest

Emma Stone’s duo and director Yorgos Lanthimos is the gift that continues to give.
The pair first worked together on the 2018 dark time play The favoriteFor which Stone received an Oscar appointment for the best support actress and Lanthimos received an appointment for the best director. They followed him with the masterful fantasy of 2023 Poor thingsWinning in Stone her second Oscars for the best actress and Lanthimos her second appointment to the best director. A few months later, Lanthimos and Stone delivered the black anthology film of 2024 Sort of kindness. (Lanthimos and Stone also collaborated in the 2022 short film Bleat.)

Sort of kindness also introduced a new player into the work of Lanthimos: Jesse Plemons, whose varied performance through Types of kindness’ Three fables have earned him the prize for best actor at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival. Now, Lanthimos, Stone and Plemons come together for a new comedy: BugoniaDirected by Lanthimos and written by Will Tracy (The menu).
A 2003 South Korean film remake Save the green planet!,, Bugonia focuses on the conspiracy theorist and beekeeper Teddy Gatz (Plemons). Teddy believes that extraterrestrials are preparing to invade the earth and that they are already with us, disguised as high -ranking humans.
One of the teddy people believes to be a stranger is Michelle Fuller, CEO of a large pharmaceutical company. Thus, he and another conspiracy theorist (Aidan Delbis), kidnap in the hope of saving the world.
