Caitlyn Jenner manager Sophia Hutchins killed in ATV accident

Caitlyn Jenner’s manager and friend Sophia Hutchins, who appeared in her show “I Am Cait,” was killed Wednesday during an ATV accident that threw her into a ravine. She was 29.

A 29-year-old woman was riding on a “narrow canyon road” when she hit the bumper of a moving car, driven by a 51-year-old woman, The Malibu Times previously reported. The impact caused the ATV to fly over the cliffside and plummet an estimated 350 feet into a ravine, where its driver was pronounced dead.

TMZ on Friday was first to identify the victim as Hutchins and reported that the collision occurred on the same road as 75-year-old Jenner’s home.

The other driver and her passenger were not injured in the accident, to which Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded at about 10:20 a.m. local time Wednesday. The Daily News has reached out to LASD for information.

Hutchins previously credited the Olympian with giving her the courage to undergo her own transition and said in 2021 that they shared a “parental, familial relationship.” Hutchins at the time was exasperated by long-standing rumors that the friends were together “romantically.”

“Caitlyn is a parent to me,” Hutchins said in a statement to People at the time. “I have said that a million times…. I feel so blessed and humbled to be part of such an amazing family and that she treats me like a daughter. … There’s no hanky panky.”

Representatives for Jenner did not immediately respond to The News’ request for comment.
