Those closest to Tyler Robinson made horrifying discoveries in hours after Charlie Kirk killing, authorities say

In frightening hours after political activist Charlie Kirk was killed by a sniper in a Utah University, the closest to the alleged shooter began to make heartbreaking discoveries, the authorities said.
By charging Tyler Robinson, 22, the authorities revealed new details on the hours following the shooting and how they led to the arrest. Robinson was accused of seven charges, including an aggravated murder leader and two justice obstruction chiefs, for allegedly hidden the rifle used in the murder and elimination of his clothes, said the County of Utah Atty. Jeffrey Gray. He also faced two charges to falsify witnesses after having pretended to ask his roommate to delete incriminating texts and ask them not to speak to the investigators if they were questioned by the authorities.
Kirk, 31, was an influential figure in conservative and right circles, winning praise for his opinions on animated subjects, including abortion, immigration and gender identity. His death by a single ball during a commitment speaking at the University of Utah Valley last week shocked the nation and led to a vigorous debate on the motivations of his accused killer.
Text exchanges
Gray also provided details on an exchange of text between Robinson and his roommate, a person who passes to a woman with whom he was romantically involved, in which Robinson apparently admitted the murder.
According to the detailed exchange in the charge documents, Robinson’s partner did not seem to have knowledge that Robinson had taken a rifle and planned the shooting for about a week.
After the shooting, according to the authorities, Robinson would have sent a text to the partner to say: “Place what you do, look under my keyboard.” The roommate found a message that said: “I had the opportunity to get Charlie Kirk out and I will take it.”
“What??????????????” The roommate responded to Robinson in an SMS. “You are kidding, right ????”
Robinson seems to admit the murder in text messages and describes the details of the shooting as he would have tried to escape the authorities.
“You weren’t the one who did, right?” The roommate sent a text to Robinson after the shooting, according to Gray.
“I’m, I’m sorry,” said Robinson, according to legal files.
While local and federal officials searched the shooter, said Gray, Robinson would have sent a text to his partner, explaining his decision to kill Kirk.
“For what?” His partner, who was not identified by Gray, sent a text to Robinson.
“Why did I do it?” Robinson replied.
“Yeah,” replied the roommate, according to Gray.
“I was tired of his hatred,” replied Robinson. “A hatred cannot be negotiated.”
Suspicions of parents
It took almost a day before the officials say grainy photos of the suspect.
Gray said that the authorities had been led to Robinson by his parents, including his mother who recognized him for the first time from photos that were released to the alleged shooter’s public. She then showed the images to her husband, who agreed that the person looked like their son, according to Gray.
Robinson’s mother told investigators that last year, her son had “become more political and started to look more on the left, becoming more pro-gay and oriented towards rights,” said Gray.
Robinson had also spoken to his Kirk parents visiting Utah campus and accused Kirk of “spreading hatred,” said Gray.
When his parents confronted him, Robinson admitted the murder and said he thought he was killing himself, said Gray.
“Robinson hinted that he was the shooter and did not want to go to prison,” Gray said. “When he was asked why he did it, Robinson explained:” There is too much trouble, and the guy, “referring to Kirk”, distributes too much hatred. “”
Contention
The Washington Post reported earlier this week that Robinson seemed to admit to members of a group of Discord chat two hours before his arrest.
Citing a source, the message cited the message in this way: “Hey guys, I have bad news for all of you. It was me in UVU yesterday. I’m sorry for all this.”
The post said he was arrested shortly after.
Agents also question people who have interacted with online suspect, said FBI director Kash Patel.
This includes a Discord cat that seems to have involved more than 20 people after the shooting.
“We make them direct them all,” said Patel.
Tear
The rifle, Gray said, had apparently been given to Robinson by his father as a gift. According to text exchanges with his roommate, the rifle had belonged to his grandfather at some point, and Robinson seemed to be concerned about the fact that he could not recover it.
“I worry what my old man would do if I did not bring the grandfather rifle,” sent a Robinson text. “How will the F – I will explain to lose it to my old man …”
Signubulant that his son was involved in the shooting, his father asked Robinson to send a photo of the rifle, but his son did not respond, according to Gray.
