Why Romano’s latest transfer update will disappoint many Chelsea fans
Another day, another update by Alejandro Garnacho.
The transfer of the winger to Chelsea is still underway according to most sources, but that makes progress if slow that one would be forgiven to think that this did not happen at all.
Fabrizio Romano likes to inject a little enthusiasm into the procedures to keep the dream alive, and the certainty with which he talks about the agreement gives the impression that the Garnacho camp keeps him a lot in the loop in order to demonstrate a movement.
Fabrizio Romano’s latest update on Chelsea’s pursuit of Alejandro Garnacho.
This last update is a classic in the Romano genre – giving the impression that things have changed since the last update, while not really making things happen.
The last major update we obtained was that Chelsea was in a club for interviews with Man U, after having agreed personal terms with Garnacho.
Now, almost a week later, we hear that Chelsea “set up the club in the talks of the club” and that these “discussions with the man are not well in progress”.
So effectively – nothing has changed. We predicted a long time ago, this agreement would go over the course, and it turns out to be just this kind of arrangement. Chelsea tries to sneak a good deal here, and they can only do so by making the desperate man a sale. There is no reason for the blues to rush.
As far as Chelsea wishes to slow down a ramp, they are also aware that they must also conclude agreements at some point. If they sell Christopher Nkunku, who is clearly their goal at the moment, he will have to be replaced, and suddenly, the sales move to them to conclude an agreement.
This last update may have been worthless – but at any time, all this could start to move very quickly.
