Canzi: We can’t wait to be back home in Biella

The day of match 2 of the Serie A Women’s Cup is there, and our first female team in Juventus is back in action after a week of competitive action as Lazio Visit Biella.

The kick -off for what will be the first home game of the Bianconere season is set at 3:00 p.m. this is Sunday, September 7, and they hope to rely on their opening victory in Parma.

Before the match, coach Massimiliano Canzi told us to give his thoughts.

“We have worked very well, with real intensity and we feel ready for the game. It could be our most important game in this group. A positive result would take us to the next round. We had the chance to work with a full team available this week, with the exception of Lia [Walti] which returns to its best form. Even [Estelle] Cascarino worked with us throughout the week, which is an excellent sign.

“We have shown a great character in Liverpool against Everton, not giving up after having taken two goals behind. This spirit is fundamental, but of course, we must improve ourselves defensively, which is always important to achieve the goals that we have set for ourselves. Very often, it is the best defense that wins things, and that does not mean that we must be defensive, but we must know how to give as much as possible.

“I am certainly not me who discovers a player of the capacity of Walti. She is an addition which, in terms of quality, personality and experience, still strengthens a already-excellent team. “Looking back last season’s matches, Lazio was probably the team that caused us the most problems. They have a very organized style of play, a coach who, I believe, is very well prepared and key players like [Martina] Piemonte, who did very well last year, [Eleonora] Goldoni, and [Elisabetta] Oliviero, who all went far with Italy in the European summer championship. It is a high -level team that we have the greatest respect, and that is why we know that it will be a very difficult match. »»
