Maine Senate Candidate Graham Platner Puts Target on Republicans’ Backs in Disturbing Call to Action – RedState

Despite all the revelations about him, including boasts that he’s a communist, a hater of cops and photos showing he had a Nazi-themed tattoo on his chest, Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner is apparently still relevant in Maine as his party moves toward an even more aggressive and confrontational approach as 2026 approaches.
There haven’t been many polls in the Democratic primary so far, which at this preliminary stage mostly features Bernie Sanders-backed newcomer Platner and Maine Gov. Janet Mills. But available information shows that Platner emerged as a formidable candidate against Chuck Schumer-backed Mills, with the two presenting themselves as best positioned to defeat Sen. Susan Collins (R) and shake things up in the U.S. Senate.

Apparently believing that doing anything other than scorched earth in the Republican-controlled Senate and President Trump is a sign of an unwillingness to fight, Platner recently told a group of supporters at a campaign stop that he would encourage people to “yell” at any official who disagrees with the far-left’s socialist agenda, and that they should not have a moment’s peace, including in restaurants:
“In the future, when we try to vote on something like Medicare for All, if there are other members of the Maine delegation who don’t want to participate, we’re going to have to be able to impose costs,” he said during a town hall Saturday in Windham, a town in southern Maine. “We need to be able to mobilize people to flood their offices. Frankly, I want people to follow them around and not let them dine in public without getting yelled at. Because that’s power. That’s real power.”

If this sounds familiar, it should. Here is Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters (CA-43), urging a crowd of agitators to do the same thing in the summer of 2018, almost a year to the day that a deranged Bernie Sanders supporter attempted to assassinate several Republican lawmakers during a congressional baseball practice, nearly succeeding with Rep. Steve Scalise (LA-01):

Apparently, even after the targeted killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, allegedly due to frustrations with the healthcare industry, the politically motivated assassination of conservative icon Charlie Kirk, and two assassination attempts on then-Republican candidate Donald Trump, Platner’s contribution to toning down the rhetoric is to…suggest that it should escalate.
Once again, Democrats are telling us who they really are. And we should believe them.
