The security of Buffalo Bills, Damar Hamlin, who was authorized to resume football activities, said on Tuesday that his cardiac arrest in an NFL match in January was caused by Commmotio Cordis.
Hamlin entered a cardiac arrest after making a tackle and seeming to be struck with a helmet in his chest during the first quarter of the Bills match against the Bengals of Cincinnati on January 2.
Commmotio Cordis can occur when it is serious that the chest trauma disturbs the electric load of the heart and causes dangerous fibrillations.
“I died on national television in front of the whole world,” said Hamlin in his first session with journalists since the injury. “I have lost a bunch of people in my life. I know a group of people who have lost people in their lives. I know this feeling. There is the greatest blessings of all this – for me to still have my people and my people to have me again. ”
The 25 -year -old was in the Bills training center in Orchard Park, New York, participating in the voluntary training sessions this week, according to the team.
“He is fully cleared,” said journalists, managing director of Bills, Brandon Beane. “He’s there.”
Hamlin said he had the chance to have a wonderful medical staff who “treats me with the care of their children”.
Security said his heart was still in the game and that he announced his return to the NFL.
“I just want to show people that fear is a choice. You can continue to do something without having the answers and without knowing what is going on at the end of the tunnel,” he said. “You might feel anxious – you could feel any type – but you continue to put this right foot in front of the left and you continue. I want to defend this.”
Beane said Hamlin had seen three separate specialists during the offseason, who all agreed that the player “is clear to use complete activities like all the others who returned from an injury.”
“(Hamlin) in a large head space to come back and return,” added Beane.

Bills head coach Sean McDermott said the team was happy that Hamlin was back.
“We are super excited for Damar. He goes before a stage at a time here. He was eliminated from a physical point of view,” said McDermott.
“We will provide all the mental help that we can from the point of view of the Spirit, the Body and the Spirit, so just happy for him that he could have verified some of these boxes at this point and we go ahead by taking it one day.”
According to the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology, if no underlying cardiac anomaly is discovered by tests, the athletes who have been resuscitated by Commmotio Cordis can resume the game.
Hamlin has probably spent many tests, including electrocardiograms and echocardiograms, before doctors allow it to return to the training.
“What is essentially means a few things. One is that his heart function has become normal again. He has no underlying problem with the anatomy of the heart himself, and he has no underlying electrical problems, so this is the most important thing-and the way they have understood in the last three and a half months, said a lot of tests.”
