CDC Director Remarkably Ousted After Less Than a Month on the Job

The Ministry of Defense has lost the most workers – more than 55,000 federal civilian employees received the chop, Huffpost reported. The Treasury Department has also undergone large cuts, losing more than 30,000 employees, as is the Ministry of Agriculture, which has lost more than 21,000 people.
These impacts have already been felt across the country. Until now this year, Social Security Administration has closed its regional doors and in the field, minimizing access and creating longer waiting times. Thousands of discounts from the Internal Revenue Service also had an impact on taxpayers’ services. The almost total planned elimination of the consumer financial protection office – which was formed following the 2008 recession – left the Americans at the mercy of the interests of companies with little legal appeal.
The exact number of employees that the Trump administration has forced to get out is an enigma. The partnership for public service statistics is much higher than the figures previously reported: last month, CNN only followed a quarter of this progress, assessing that around 51,000 federal employees had lost their jobs.
